Vizeum has bolstered its planning department with three hires including MediaCom’s Andrew Lloyd, who takes the role of planning director. He is joined by James Hankins from MEC and Luisa Bright, previously the client director on General Motors at Aegis sister agency Carat. (Campaign)

The Account Planning Group has appointed Ogilvy & Mather’s Sarah Newman as it first full-time director. Newman, the global planning partner at Ogilvy & Mather, takes the new role after the retirement of Steven Martin. (Campaign)

OMD UK has appointed Anne Wixley, the creative director at MEC, as it first creative director. (Campaign)

Digital Cinema Media, the cinema ad sales house, has restructured its sales division and promoted Joe Evea, the business development director, to the new position of commercial director. (Campaign)

Golley Slater London has appointed Brian Storey and Xanthos Christodoulo to head its creative department after the merger of Wand, the pair’s shop, into the agency. (Campaign)

Marc Giusti, a founding partner of The Corner, has left the agency. He was part of the founding team alongside Neil Simpson, Tom Ewart and Neil Hourston. (Campaign)

Tesco has appointed Coca-Cola's interactive manager, Jude Brooks, to head its social media operations. Brooks will join the retailer as senior marketing manager for social media in the New Year. She will oversee a team of about 10 specialists looking after Tesco's Facebook, Twitter and YouTube social channels, and report to digital and social director Tom Daniell. (Marketing)

Wrigley has appointed Britvic's international marketing director Pamela Bower-Nye as its new UK and Ireland marketing director. Bower-Nye replaces Daniela Campari who left the company earlier this year to move back to the US .At Britvic, Bower-Nye was responsible for international strategic planning and developments of brands including Robinsons, FruitShoot and J20. Media

George Entwistle, the director general of the BBC, has stood down from the role. He has been replaced in the interim by BBC Worldwide boss Tim Davie. Helen Boaden, the BBC's director of news, and Stephen Mitchell, deputy head of news, have stepped down from their roles, marking the latest scalps to be claimed from the scandal engulfing the BBC. Northern & Shell has appointed Ben Frow, currently director of programming at Irish broadcaster TV3 and a former Channel 5 executive, as its new director of programmes at Channel 5, replacing Jeff Ford.  Frow will have responsibility for all content and creative operations at Channel 5, including commissioning programmes and selecting acquisitions. Reece Littlejohn has been appointed as the head of marketing for Bauer Media’s men’s, music and film portfolio, replacing Patrick Horton, who recently moved to Bauer Media's specialist division as its marketing director. (Media Week)

Victoria Jacob-Luck has joined Hearst Magazines UK as the advertising director for its international sales offering, Hearst Advertising Worldwide UK. He will report to Jacqui Cave, the sales director at Hearst Advertising Worldwide UK. (Media Week)
