Favourite ad
Vintage: BMP's 1986 "Points of View" for the Guardian, a product of the holy trilogy of John Webster, Frank Budgen and Paul Weiland.
Recent: Dare's viral ads for Sony Vaio featuring John Malkovich. Superbly surreal.
Favourite Book
Time's Arrow - Martin Amis. Undoubtedly influenced by reading the original, scrawled-upon manuscript.
Favourite track
Tends to be seasonal. If it's summer, Astrid Gilberto's "Girl from Ipanema", which makes me think I'm bowling along leafy boulevards in the south of France in the convertible Fiat Spider I had for too short a time in my twenties.
At other times of the year, it's pretty eclectic. Enduring favourites include Nina Simone, and Leonard Cohen for the words and his growl.
