Philip Smith is the head of digital content at Haymarket Brand Media and Brand Republic.
In this role he is responsible for the editorial side of Brand Media's web sites, including Brand Republic, Campaign, Marketing, Media Week, Marketing Direct, Revolution and PR Week, as well as key third party content relationships. He currently hosts a series of monthly web chats at www.brandrepublic.tv. From May 2005 to October 2006, Smith edited Media Week which is the only UK business title dedicated to covering the commercial media industry.
He joined Media Week as editor in May 2005 when the magazine was acquired by Haymarket, the largest private magazine publisher in the UK and relaunched the magazine in January 2006. Prior to joining Media Week, Smith was editor-in-chief of the direct and digital marketing monthlies Direct Response, Marketing Direct and Revolution. He edited Revolution for four years. Smith is a Fellow of the RSA.
