New animated star for Coca-Cola campaign
Leggsy, the animated star of Coca-Cola's 'super-sub' World Cup ad campaign, is to get a taste of domestic football this season. The three-legged character will appear in the Coke break bumpers surrounding ITV's The Premiership on Saturday nights and Monday night's Premiership Parliament programme. He replaces Coke's 'footballers' families' theme used last season. Leggsy, who was seen scoring the tournament's winning goal during the World Cup ad campaign, will be shown living the lavish life of a top Premiership player. The campaign airs this Saturday to coincide with the start of the Premiership season. The first bumpers appear around ITV's Goal Rush programme at 4pm. Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam devised the campaign. Animation was by Paris-based Numero 6.
