Desmond hires Metro executive for London launch
LONDON - Richard Desmond, the Express Newspapers owner, has hired an executive from the Swedish newspaper group Metro International, which pioneered free newspapers, as he gears up to launch his free London newspaper to challenge the Evening Standard.
