US scrambles to be first as BBC outlines war coverage
LONDON - As war breaks out with Iraq, US TV networks scrambled to be first to break the news as the BBC reveals its extensive plans to cover the conflict in an effort it hopes will put BBC News 24 on the map, in the way that Operation Desert Storm made CNN in the early 1990s.
