DEALS: ValueClick set to buy Commission Junction
Online ad specialist ValueClick is set to buy affiliate-marketing firm Commission Junction for $58 million (£38.66m). The move will effectively double the size of ValueClick's Be Free subsidiary, which powers the affiliate-marketing programmes of more than 200 retailers, with Commission Junction's own affiliate operations. Both firms have a presence in the UK and, according to ValueClick, Commission Junction will strengthen the firm's global presence, with clients such as Expedia, Marbles and Marks & Spencer. The transaction is expected to complete in November, subject to the customary closing conditions and regulatory approval.
