London Records teams up with HMV and Shazam for discount offer
London Records has teamed up with HMV and mobile music firm Shazam to offer Holly Valance fans a £1 discount on her latest single, State of Mind, which was released this week. Fans can receive the discount by texting a special number. The number will be promoted in TV ads running on Channel 4 and satellite music channels and print ads in Heat and The Sun. Shazam is also marketing the single to its customer database offering a free 30 second clip and a personal message from the Australian singer. London Records, which is part of Warner Music, said that if the promotion is a success, it will roll it out to artists including ex-All Saints Shaznay Lewis and Melanie Blatt.
