Diary: Hit Or Miss... Prince Harry in Lesotho
Close call, this one. While the majority of the media were persuaded that Harry was 'following in the caring footsteps of his mother' in a bid to raise the profile of Aids victims (Sunday Express), several papers had polarised views. For instance, in one article headlined 'Harry plays a PR blinder', The Sunday Times called the event 'a minor victory for the palace', only to rail against the 'cynical use of forlorn, undernourished orphans' later in the same edition. But The Sun and The Daily Telegraph published no less than three articles each about the palace's 'PR triumph'.
