Karmazin quits Viacom as Redstone lines up successors
NEW YORK - Mel Karmazin, president and chief operating officer of Viacom, has resigned from the company as Sumner Redstone, the 81-year-old chairman and chief executive officer, has said he will step down in the next three years.
