Deals: Lycos.co.uk and Opera Telecom join forces
Lycos.co.uk and premium mobile services provider Opera Telecom have joined forces to bring Lycos content to mobiles. Opera Telecom will offer games, ringtones and wallpaper via the Lycos-branded mobile channel. Content is likely to be expanded next year, and the deal is based on a revenue-sharing agreement for content downloaded by users of the Lycos site. Opera Telecom has also partnered with Initial, part of independent TV producer Endemol UK to launch a music chart show, The Orange Playlist.
