BBC to call time on Top of the Pops after 42 years
LONDON - 'Top of The Pops', the world's longest running weekly music show and the programme that made a household name of former presenters Jimmy Savile and Noel Edmonds, is to be axed next month following the BBC's admission that in the world of 24-hour music programming and digital downloads, its format had become outdated.
