Trade secretary orders Ofcom to probe Sky's ITV share deal

LONDON - Alistair Darling, secretary of state for trade and industry, has asked Ofcom to investigate BSkyB's purchase of 17.9% of ITV stock in November last year, and its relevance to the influence Sky could exert on the terrestrial network as its largest shareholder.
