Golden Wonder Wotsits launches non-snack food product
Wotsits this week launches its first non-snack food product, mashed Potato Shapes for mealtimes. The Golden Wonder product will be backed by a new pounds 1.2m TV campaign through Bartle Bogle Hegarty, which features the animated character Willie and his girlfriend Peaches in a 1950s wartime scenario. A World War Two plane dive-bombs the mashed potato factory and injects it with the magic Wotsits ingredient. As Willie and Peaches enjoy a meal of Potato Shapes, peas and sausages, the flight commander declares: 'New Wotsits mashed Potato Shapes. At last, mash with a whoooosh!'. The campaign will appear on ITV and satellite channels, with media planning and buying through Starcom Motive.
