Tribune Co. to slash jobs, citing economic woe
Tribune Company plans to cut 400-500 jobs, which is two per cent of its workforce, mainly due to what most publishers called "economic problems" at a number of publications, including The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, Newsday, The Orlando Sentinel, and The Baltimore Sun.
