The Week: Media News - Tesco rejects keyword bids
Tesco is the first major UK advertiser to take a stand against Google's new keyword-bidding policy, which will allow companies to bid for keywords trademarked by rivals, and will not bid on search terms relating to its competitors. It hopes that other advertisers will follow suit, preventing the anticipated rise in cost of paid-for search ads.
