Local replaces organic at top of food chain

LONDON - The local produce market has grown by 15% to £4.3bn in the past three years, and should reach £5.7bn by 2012, according to IGD. Organic food is foundering, however, with the suggestion by Soil Association president Monty Don that it even needs a name-change, from 'organic' to 'sustainable', which should further confuse matters.
