BBC's Olympic coverage under threat as bidding war heats up
LONDON - The International Olympic Committee has turned down a joint bid from the BBC and other European public broadcasters for coverage of Olympic events after the 2012 games, potentially pitting the BBC against rivals such as Sky and ITV for exclusive live coverage of future games.
