iPhone share of smartphone market hits 17 per cent

NEW YORK - Apple's iPhone accounted for 17 per cent of all the smartphones sold globally in the last quarter, with seven million flying off the shelves. However, it still trails behind the BlackBerry and Nokia's N series.
