Media Bitch's Diary 9 February
This week Bitch attends the 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions and meets Ant 'n' Dec, turns out for The Lighthouse Company event and admires David Beckham in his underpants.
Kathleen Saxton: addresses her media audience in 'that dress'
Lighting up the industry
On to the impeccably turned out Kathleen Saxton, the former new business director at PHD turned recruitment guru and Founder of The Lighthouse Company.
Bitch has always been a bit jealous of Kathleen's pulling power within the industry (purely professional).
Last night's Return to The Lighthouse event at St Martin's Lane Hotel, was attended by, among others, Miroma’s Graham Duff, GMG Radio’s Stuart Taylor, Clear Channel's Matthew Dearden and new OMD managing director Dan Clays.
A good time was had by all and the Champagne flowed, and Bitch is sure that the ratio of men to women in the audience had nothing to do with the fact that Ms Saxton appeared in a dress that even topped the one she wore at last year's Media Week Awards, where she won Best Dressed.
Ant 'n' Dec step up
Bitch has been doing a bit of undercover work this week (or at least her photographer has) as she hung out with Ant ‘n’ Dec, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and fill-in judge Carmen Electra at the auditions for 'Britain's Got Talent', which arrived down the road from Media Week Towers at the Hammersmith Apollo this week.
This girl was a little disappointed not to see Amanda Holden, who is recovering from a particularly difficult birth, but felt that ex-'Baywatch' bombshell Carmen Electra got a bit of a rough reception, with some of the crowd shouting "Who are ya?".
Now Bitch definitely knows that Simon Cowell is a man who loves the attention – well he would do with that flattop hair do, shirt open to the navel and those high-waisted trousers.

So when Bitch heard that Cowell ordered his security to create a pathway directly through the middle of the queuing throng of celebrity hopefuls looking to land a spot on 'Britain's Got Talent', it came as no surprise.
Like royalty, Bitch understands that Cowell’s chauffer-driven car headed through the crowds allowing him a few minutes to wave at his adoring public as he stepped out of the car.
Talking of stepping up, Bitch discovered that presenters Ant and Dec had to have a specially built step put among the crowd in order for them to be seen.
However, Media Week’s photographer was pleased to report that the diminutive duo even posed for a picture, which gave them stature way above their challenged height.
Golden Balls
Speaking of Best Dressed (or Best Undressed in this case), Bitch has been enjoying a lot of UM London's work recently.
It may have something to do with the fact H&M is one of the agency's clients, and it might also have something to do with the giant outdoor sites featuring the bare-chested David Beckham promoting his new range of pants.

Bitch has searched her repertoire for puns, but really couldn’t come up with any to describe the large erections that have appeared around town, but she's always been impressed by Golden Balls and his work in the box.
Until next week my little footballing media types.
Bitch xxx
