S&N launches summer cider blitz

LONDON - Scottish & Newcastle (S&N) is launching a series of on and off-trade promotional campaigns to support the brewer’s cider brands this summer.
The ‘Biggest Round’ nationwide campaign, created by Because, will feature around 3000 brand ambassadors visiting pubs nationwide. They will be offering consumers the opportunity to try one of S&N’s seven cider brands for free.

The brand ambassadors will also be distributing money-off coupons in pubs and invitations to enter a prize draw. In addition themed events will also be running in 286 Greene King pubs.
The campaign also extends to the off-trade with in-store sampling at Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose from June through to August. Coupons will also be distributed.
This is the fourth year S&N has run the Biggest Round and S&N head of trial Jeni Spinks said the campaign was “a central plank” in the company’s marketing activity. S&N cider brands include Bulmers Original and Strongbow.
